Statistical Mechanical Theory of Ionic Solutions Based on the Interaction Site Model: Dielectric Properties and Pair Correlation Functions

Pair correlation functions are given for fluid mixtures containing ionic species,based on the interaction site naodel, and the dielectric properties of the mixturesare discussed. The static dielectric function e(A) is expressed in terms of site-sitecorrelation functions. Moment conditions of site-site pair correlation functionsare also derived. The correlation function expression of the dielectric screeningfactor is given, and the features of its behaviors are elucidated. As the simplestexamples, the static dielectric functions and screening functions are calculatedin the case of dilute gases.
