Stability of a Two-Component Bose-Einstein Condensate

The stability of a two-component Bose-Einstein condensate is sttudied. Using the variationalnaethod, we investigate the stable and trnstable corrditions as fttnctions of the particle nuraabersand the s-wave scattering lengths, We find that interaction between tl'ne different species of atoms(sinaply, interspecies interaction) has significant effects on tlte stability of each con.densate.
