Effect of Coulomb Interactions between Photoexcited Electrons and Holes on Time-Resolved Two-Photon Photoemission from a Metal Surface

The effect of Cotrlouaab interactions betxveen photoexcited electrons and holes on tinae-resolvedtwo-photon photoenmission f'ronaa a rnetal strrf'ace is investigated with the aid of a sinaple unodelxvhere the electron systern consists of an sp-band, a d-band and free electron states above tlaeV2LCUL1ll1 level. A forrntrla for the correlation trace (photoelectron intensity as a function of theptrmp-probe delay tirne) is derived by perttrrbation theory based on the Liouville equation andby treating Coulotaab interactions witluin tlae Hartree-Fock approxiunation. It is demouastrated onthe basis of the obtained results how COLIIOIIII) interactions affect the correlation trace.
