Resonance in Non-Markovian Activation Processes : Condensed Matter and Statistical Physics

Thermal activation over a potential barrier shows a kind of resonance phenomenon when a characteristic frequency of a non-Markovian noise is near a natural frequency associated with a metastable state. This is shown both theoretically and experimentally (computer simulation).
