The detonation wave propagation phenomena in an exotlaermically reacting harddisk system are studied using the molecular dynamics method. The model reaction isA:A'$B type exothermic isomerization reaction, where A' corresponds to an ac-tivated complex. The detonation propagation ntechanism and the relaxation pro-cesses at the wave front are compared with those of the similar reaction system withno activated complex, A#B.
