Evidence of Short-Range Repulsive Spin-Orbit Components in the Proton-Proton Interaction

The proton-proton scattering amplitudes at 6 GeV/c and other energies obtained by the phase-shift analysis indicate a strong repulsive spin-orbit interaction in the short distance ≲0.5 fm as well as an attractive one in the region 0.5〜1.0 fm.
