Electric quadrupole moment of the deuteron is calculated by the formalism proposed in the first paper^<1)> of this series and with the meson theoretical wave function of the deuteron. The result obtained agrees with the experimental evidence within the inevitable ambiguity involved in the present meson theory. The mesonic correction part of the quantity is found to be essentially due to the recoil effect, and therefore the calculated value is leliable only in a qualitative sense. However, the numerical calculation shows that this part amounts to only a few percent of the total value. This seems to be a further support to the discussions of Iwadare et al.^<2)> on the applicability of the meson theory of the nuclear force in the low energy region.
