An analytic expression for a long-range interaction between two ions embedded in an electron sea is obtained at finite temperatures with the aid of the contour integral techniques. It is shown that its long-range oscillatory behavior is modified to A(e^<-αr>/r^3 cos(2k_Fr+φ) due to the temperature effect, where α and φ are proportional to temperature T. The numerical values of α are in a fairly good agreement with those obtained by analysis of the Born-Green and Percus-Yevick equations using the observed structural data.
