Anisotropic Upper Critical Field of Pure Type-II Superconductors at Low Temperatures

The upper critical field H_<c2> appropriate for a pure single crystal with an anisotropic Fermi surface is calculated at low temperatures and is found to have a form H_<c2>(t)=H_<c2>(0)×(1+ηt^2ln t), where t=T/T_c^・. Coefficients H_<c2>(0) and ηare anisotropic reflecting the Fermi surface anisotropy. This expression is a generalization of that for a spherical Fermi surface given by Gor'kov to an anisotropic case.
