The elementary processes to excite hypernuclei, p(γ,K^+)∧ and p(γ,K^+)Σ^0, have been calculated in the Born approximation. We used the coupling constants previously determined by other authors. It is found that no set of coupling constants given in the literature can consistently reproduce the observed cross sections even at low energies.
