Masses of Charmed Baryons and F/D Ratio

Masses of charmed baryons are discussed in connection with the doubly charged particle Y^<++> which has been recently observed in the neutrino-nucleus collision. If the Y^<++> is assumed to be a charmed baryon with I=1 which is stable against strong interaction, the hyperfine splitting spin-spin force due to the color magnetic interaction whose strength is reduced by about 23% of those of the lower-lying baryons leads to a result that Y^<++> can be assigned to the Σ_c (flavor mixed symmetric state with J^P=1/2^+) with mass ∼2375 MeV. The F/D ratio appearing in the Okubo-Gell-Mann mass formula is related to the strength of the color magnetic interaction.
