Of late the method named "Hands-on" has come in fashion widely, but the realization of interaction in museums, namely, the construction of interactive museums has not been discussed unexpectedly, as the ideological background of the method named "Hands-on". Learning from the work written by Tim Caulton which attracted the interest of many readers as a book answering precisely to the question what "Hands-on" is, I tried to pursue the problems to be solved from now on here in this report in consideration of actual situation of the educational activities in the museums. Firstly, I have examined the concrete cases on the basis of "An argument on the third generation museum" written by ITO Toshiro concerning the present situation of interaction in the museums in our country. Secondly, I introduced mainly the ideological part of "Hands-on" in line with the work written by Tim Caulton. In the latter half of this report, I reported responses from the trainees obtained on-the-spot of the educational programs by the Museum of Meiji University. In addition, as I judge presently that it is important to change into the educational style which enables to awaken creative power for the purpose of aiming at an interactive museum, though the educational style targeting mostly at delivering knowledge about museums forms still the main stream in Japan, I emphasized it necessary to review the way of lecturing and explaining about museums.
