The ν<SUB>4</SUB> fundamental of fluoroform has been measured with a tunable diode-laser source spectrometer. The following molecular constants were determined: ν<SUB>0</SUB>=1377.8458 cm<SUP>−1</SUP>, <I>B</I><SUB>4</SUB>=0.344788 cm<SUP>−1</SUP>, <I>C</I><SUB>4</SUB>=0.189134 cm<SUP>−1</SUP> (<I>C</I>ζ)<SUB>4</SUB>=0.18619 cm<SUP>−1</SUP>, <I>D</I><SUB>4</SUB><I><SUP>J</SUP></I>=3.78×10<SUP>−7</SUP> cm<SUP>−1</SUP>, <I>D</I><SUB>4</SUB><I><SUP>JK</SUP></I>=−5.73×10<SUP>−7</SUP> cm<SUP>−1</SUP>, <I>D</I><SUB>4</SUB><I><SUP>K</SUP></I>=2.94×10<SUP>−7</SUP> cm<SUP>−1</SUP>, η<SUB>4</SUB><I><SUP>J</SUP></I>=1.44×10<SUP>−6</SUP> cm<SUP>−1</SUP>, and η<SUB>4</SUB><I><SUP>K</SUP></I>=−8.2×10<SUP>−7</SUP> cm<SUP>−1</SUP>. Using the molecular constants of the 2ν<SUB>3</SUB>, the Coriolis x-y interaction constant between the ν<SUB>4</SUB> fundamental and 2ν<SUB>3</SUB>, |ζ<SUB>334</SUB>|, was estimated to be 0.065.
