The remarkable line-broadenings of the 35Cl NMR spectra observed for the KCl in aqueous solutions of non-electrolytes were explained well by considering the formation of water-cages which surround the non-electrolytes. This result, in turn, suggests that the line-width measurement is a useful method for determining local structures formed in solutions.
