<SUP>1</SUP>H, <SUP>13</SUP>C, and <SUP>31</SUP>P NMR spectra of the products from the Reissert type reactions using acyl halides and trimethyl phosphite were measured and correlated with their structures. <SUP>31</SUP>P Chemical shift of dimethoxyphosphinyl group and <SUP>13</SUP>C chemical shift of the α-carbon atom, as well as <SUP>1</SUP><I>J</I><SUB>CP</SUB> and <SUP>2</SUP><I>J</I><SUB>PH</SUB>, can be criteria to differentiate the 1,2- and the 1,4-adducts from each other. Thus, there NMR parameters can be a clue to elucidate the regioselectivity of the reactions.
