The molecular and crystal structure of the title compound has been determined by the X-ray method. The cation structure consists of well-separated dimeric pairs of the octahedrally coordinated cobalt(III) atom linked by two μ-hydroxo bridges. There are two intramolecular N–H···O hydrogen bonds bridging the two chromophores.
