概要

• Calcined bone was reported by Kurosawa et al., in 1979. Its properties are composition of hydroxy-apatite and maintenance of original bone structure. In an experimental study, calcined bone was seen to have a good affinity to the host bone and to have characteristics of promoting of new bone formation. Recently, we experienced three cases of atypical bone cysts, and treated them by curretage and calcined bone inplants. These patients have been observed carefully under radiographic follow-up.
