The Treatment of Fractures of Clavicle:particularly about the percutaneous pinning

We treated 92 patients of body fractures of clavicle in the last five years.Out of them, 35 patients were examined directly. The treatment were surgical osteosynthesis in 17 patients; percutaneous pinning in 8 patients; opened pinning in 4 patients and conservative therapy in 7 patients. Results of each treatment were evaluated clinically and roentgenographically.16 patients out of 92 patients were treated by percutaneous pinning (diameter 3.0mm Kirschner wire). Operating time was thirty-three minutes on an average and drawing out of pinning was performed in 118 days after operation.Percutaneous pinning is the most excellent treatment because of superiority over conservative therapy in view of malunion or long-term external fixation and superiority over surgical osteosynthesis in view of nonunion, scar of skin or indefinit complaints of shoulder girdle.
