A case report: Periosteal chondroma of the left tibia.

A case of periosteal chondroma of the tibia was reported. An 8-year-old girl complained of swelling and pain of the left tibia. The mass measuring 4×3cm was hard and slightly tender. Radiography showed a weakly radiopaque mass with some calcifications. Microscopic examination showed lobulated hyaline cartilage without malignant cells. Marginal excision of the tumor and autologous bone grafting was performed. During 13 months after the operation, the tumor has not recurred.
