Alveoplasty with full thickness skin graft in reconstructed cases of malignant tumor of oral cavity.

It is found that the cure rate of the malignant tumor is improved by using myocutaneous flaps after surgical removal of the mandible and oral floor.<BR>In majority of cases, it was difficult to recover satisfactory functions only by immediate reconstructive surgery.<BR>So we additionally reconstructed masticatory disturbance and difficulty of speech by alveoplasty with full thickness skin grafting from the clavicle region.<BR>Five postalveoplastic patients (4 men, 1 women) ranged from 18 to 67 years old.<BR>All of them did well postopretively and had been followed for 1 year and 7 months without scar contracture and the relapse.
