Video streaming is difficult due to the unavailable packet loss of the network, especially the channels are burstprone. One way to solve this is to transmit the video content via multiple paths. When burst happens on one path, the lost frames can be recovered from the video received from other paths in some degree, since the multiple paths fail at the same time is very unlikely. By transmitting the texture and depth of two captured views, the user can synthesize the middle view in between to watch through the Depth Image Based Rendering(DIBR), this gives the potential that the user can watch any view with the angle he wants. The inherent problem is how to encode the multiview video and optimally use the multiple channels to optimize the client's received video quality. In this paper, we propose to use the Multiple Description Coding of Free Viewpoint Video with Reference Frame Selection for Multi-Path Network Streaming, the simulation results show that the gain over the competing schemes by at least 2.7dB in typical network environment.
