Video streaming is difficult due to the unavailable packet loss of the network, one way to solve this is to use the Distributed Source Coding(DSC), which can tolerate k frames' residual loss among the n frames, as the coding mechanism for the video to evade the error propagation. ARQ is more efficient comparing to FEC, since it protects the lost packets while the FEC protects all the packets. The problem what is the good coding structure for the video unicast combining the ARQ is not solved in any formal way. In this paper, a coding structure for the video source and the algorithm to generate the optimal structure are proposed. The proposed scheme outperforms the competing schemes by up to 7.3dB in user's received video quality in typical wireless network.
