cDNA of PSP in pig and chick was sequenced and its amino acid sequences were determined. Among mammalians, the identity between PSP is over 80%, whereas the amino acid sequence of chick PSP significantly differs from that of mammalians PSP and is about only 70% identity by comparison with mammalians.
