The superlattices which consist of amorphous Fe (C) and amorphous Si have been demonstrated to be promising candidates for producing a new class of soft magnetic materials. A decrease of the saturation magnetization (Ms) was caused by the size effect arising from the finite thickness of the magnetic Fe (C) layers and the interdiffusion of Fe, C and Si atoms at the interface. The temperature (T) dependence of Ms on the Fe(C) layers separated by thinner Si layers showed a three-dimensional spin wave excitation (T^<3/2>-Bloch law). By increasing the separation of each magnetic layer, a transition to a two-dimensional behaviour has been indicated by the linear temperature dependence of Ms.
