Oxine complexes of nickel, iron and vanadium were succesfully extracted with several organic solvents, by which traces of these metals were determined. Benzene, toluene and chloroform were useful for nickel ; benzene, toluene, xylene and amylacetate for iron ; and amylalcohol and amylacetate for vanadium. The extraction was complete at pH 3.9〜5.2 in nickel, at 2.8〜12.0 in iron and at 3.5〜4.2 in vanadium. By these extractions nickel as much as 20〜120γ, iron as much as 1〜30γ and vanadium as much as 10〜150γ Were determined.
