Magnetization and Microwave Resonance Absorption of the Solid Solutions of Magnetic Ferrites and Cadmium Ferrite

The saturation magnetization of the solid solutions of magnetic ferrites and Cd-ferrite was studied and it was found that the saturation magnetization would become maximum at certain compositions of Cd-ferrite, as in the case of solid solutions of magnetic ferrites and Zn-ferrite. Microwave resonance absorption measurements were made on Ni-Cd ferrites, and the results were in unexpected disagreement with the theory which might be interpreted by the idea of the "size effect" discussed by Yager and others.
