We describe our high-performance video stream server, which can simultaneously handle up to ten 1.5-Gbps uncompressed high-definition television streams in realtime using an IP network. We propose a method of achieving an edit decision list video editing function running on the video stream server. This distributed system differs from common video editing systems because several different modules are clustered. The proposed method enables them modules to share editing instruction data, cooperate, and achieve a video clipping function. In an experiment with a broadcasting station using a live broadcast of baseball games, we verified the utility of this system.
