Multiwire proportional chambers with bidimensional readout were used for a low-momentum p^^-p experiment. One coordinate was obtained by the usual anode readout and the other by cathode-coupled delay-line readout. The calibration and performance of these chambers under actual experimental conditions are reported with emphasis on the cathode readout.
