Isospora suisに自然感染している離乳前の子豚小腸の糖衣成分をアビジン-ビオチン-ペルオキシダーゼ複合体法でビオチン標識した21種類のレクチンを用いて検討した.空腸絨毛刷子縁および杯細胞における18種類のレクチンの染色性は対照豚と比べて異なっていた.以上の結果はI.suis感染は空腸の糖残基を変化させることを示唆した
