Improvements have been made on the tracking of resonance and antiresonance in a piezoelectric resonator reported previously by the authors. For a disk PZT resonator, it was possible to achieve phaselock in a fundamental mode (f_r=100.3 kHz, f_a=118.6 kHz) if integrator time constant τ≳10ms, whereas locking onto the next higher mode (f_r=255.7 kHz, f_a=262.3 kHz) occurred if τ≳44ms. For the fundamental mode, the lock-acquisition time T could be described by T≅A|f_O-f_<r,a>|^m, where m ≈ 0.35 and A ≈ 4 ms, f_O is an initial frequency in kHz, and f_<r,a>= f_r or f_a in kHz.
