Chromosomes were analyzed from two specimens of Siberian taimen, Hucho taimen, obtained from Manoma River (basin of Amur River). One specimen had 2n=82, while the other showed 2n=83. Each karyotype of two specimens had the same fundamental number (NF) of 112. The different chromosome number was due to Robertsonian rearrangement. Karyotypes already reported in Siberian taimen from different localities showed 2n=84 with NF=112 or 116, indicating chromosomal variability or polymorphism in this species in different localities.
