Selective Synthesis of β-D-Glucopyranosyl 1-Triphosphate by Reaction of D-Glucopyranose with Inorganic cyclo-Triphosphate

The stereoselective phosphorylation of D-glucopyranose has been achieved using inorganic sodium cyclo-triphosphate hexahydrate (P_<3m>), Na_3P_3O_9・6H_2O. The reaction product has been confirmed to the β-D-glucopyranosyl 1-triphosphate by multinuclear NMR and HPLC, and its maximum yield was about 47%.
