An equation representing the relation between heat input and grain size in weld-heat affected zone of two-dimensional bead was derived using the grain growth equation and the heat conduction equation. Furthermore, the effect of heat input on maximum grain size and width of coarse grain zone in weld-heat affected zone was clarified using the equation mentioned above.
