In this study, austenite grain growth of steels during thermal cycles was examined using grain growth equation. First, formation of austenite grains during rapid heating was investigated. Next, austenite grain growth equation was obtained and its applicability to the calculation of austenite grain growth during thermal cycle was confirmed experimentally.
