Regarding effect of process parameter on the penetralion depth in high voltage electron beam welding, the following study were made by using bead on plate test of mild steel, stainless steel, titanium and phosper bronze : (1) effect of the accelerating voltage, the beam current and welding speed on the penetration depth, (2) effect of the vacuum on the penetration depth., (3) effect of the focus point and the work distance on the penetration depth.
