The correlation of the external restraint type weld cracking tests, especially the Implant test, the RRC test and the TRC test was investigated. Three tests were done for same materials and same welding conditions, especially under same cooling conditions. The critical stresses obtained by the Implant tests are almost equal the critical stresses obtained by the RRC and the TRC test for each materials and welding conditions. With the above results and the information obtained by the RRC tests in the previous reports, a method to apply the Implant tests results for determination of the suitable welding conditions without weld cracking in actual weld joints was proposed.
