Endogenous gibberellins (GAs) in the young leaves and xylem sap of tea plants (Camellia sinensis L.) were analyzed by GC-MS. The following GAs were identified by comparing their mass spectra and KRIs with those of authentic specimens : GA_9 and GA_<20> in the leaves ; GA_9,GA_<12>, GA_<15>, GA_<20>, GA_<44>, GA_<51> and GA_<53> in the xylem sap.
