A mechanistic understanding of two-phase flow is indispensable for better prediction of CHF under oscillatory flow condition. Focused on the two-phase flow structure at the oscillatory flow transient, experimental investigation was conducted using adiabatic two-phase flow with liquid flow oscillation. The flow pattern transition was significantly affected by the flow oscillation. The flow pattern map based on the steady state condition was presented. At large amplitude condition, large bubble is formed synchronized, but out of phase from the liquid flow oscillation.
