Formation of Non-Unitary State near the Upper-Critical Field of Sr_2RuO_4(Condensed Matter : Electronic Structure, Electrical, Magnetic and Optical Properties)

We have studied the superconducting state of Sr_2RuO_4 under a magnetic field parallel to the superconducting plane. We show that due to a weak spin-orbit coupling, a nonunitary k_y(z^^^-iαy^^^) state is formed right at H_<c2>, which then changes to a unitary k_yz^^^ state as the magnetic field is lowered. On the basis of this crossover, we address the origin of the observed double peaks of specific heat and the disappearance of the double peaks at low fields.
