頭蓋腔の圧伝達システムにシステム解析のアプローチを応用し、BP波とICP波の間のコヒーレンス関数による線形度を評価することにより頭蓋内腔圧伝達特性を検討した。頭蓋腔の圧伝達システムが基本的には非線形なシステムであることが示された。線形性に周波数による特性があり、頭蓋内圧の亢進による頭蓋腔の圧伝達効率の増加が低周波領域で著明であった。脳血管が高周波を伝達しにくい特性をもっていると考えられた。コヒーレンス関数の脈拍の基本波とその第2調波の値に、線形度の増加が高くなるbreak pointがあった。コヒーレンス関数は、頭蓋腔の圧環境における非線形の度合いを示す指標とすることにより、臨床用のモニターに利用できる。
