母親と一組の一卵双生児を含む4人の娘にモヤモヤ病の発生を認めた家系を報告した。これまで一家系内に3人モヤモヤ病が発生した例は7家系報告されているが、4人以上の報告はない。次女を除く4人にTIAを認めたが、次女は現在まで脳虚血症状を呈していない。本家系はモヤモヤ病の成因に遺伝的因子が重要な役割を果たしている事が強く示唆された。
