NMR Study of Hyperfine Field at ^<153>Eu in EuSe_<1-x>Te_x with x<___0.1

The "'Eu NMR in EuSer,.Te. with x<0.1 has been observed in the ten-perature range between 1.7 and 4.2 K. The results of NMR, together with thoseof differential masnetic suscertibilities, show that the Turtle II antiferromannetnc(NSNS) phase or EUS8 is stabilized ty substituting a SITIIII amount or 're. [11 theNSNS phase of EuSe.-,Te. the "'Eu NMR frequency extrapolated to 0 K isindependent of x and is 12].8 MHz, corresponding to a field of 262.6 k0e. The"'Eu hyperfine field transferred from six next nearest neighbors in EuSe isestimated as -(25f2) k0e, which is comparable to a value of -24 kOe in EuTe.
