Electrical Conductivity of the Oxide Superconductor Ba_<0.58>K_<0.42>BiO_<2.96>

Mechanism of electrical conductivity in the normal state of the perovskite-type oxide super-conductor Bag.5gKg.,3zBiO3.g5 has been investigated by measuring the condtrctivity and tl'ne Hallcoefficient in the temperature range of 20 -300 K, tnsing a single crystal which seems to exhibit thenntrunsic feature of conductivity because of the snaall residual resistivity valtre of l x 10 ' Q-cna.The best analytical fit of tenaperattzre dependence of resistivity is obtained assunaing scatteringof the electron by both the acoustic phonon xvith the Debye ternperattrre of 320 K and the op-tical phonons xvith the Binstein temperatures of 835 K and 460 K. The small value of the Hallrnobility of abotrt 2cun'/V-s at room temperature rneans strong interaction of electrons withphonons. We emphasize the iuaaportant role of' electron-[0 phonon interaction in the naechanisrmof conductivity.
