The radiative proton capture cross sections in ^<Bi> were measured with E_p from 10MeV to 50 MeV by a;;lying a stacked foil technique. It was found that the excitation function has a maximum value of 0.38mb at E_p=12MeV and then it becomes monotonously smaller as the bombarding energy increases up to E_p=50MeV. In the peak reak region fo the excitation function, the magnitude of the cross sections is found to be a few times larger than that predicted by the statistical model.
