• The heavy-ton reactions induced by 115 MeV "N ions on "Ni and "Ni wereinvestigated by a IE-E gas counter telescope. The yields of the strongly dampedevents (Z!10) were found to be twice to three times larger for the "Nl-"Nisystem than for the "N-F-"Ni system. This isotopic effect was observed notonly for the products that exhibit the l/sin 0 distributions but also for those withforward-peaked angular distributions.NUCLEAR REACTIONS "N-(""'Ni; A=J]5 MeV; product energies,charge distributions, cross sections dowdy....., evaporation residue crosssection cr....; gas proportional detector UE; surface barrier detector E.
