We study the aggregation kinetics of Electro-Rheological Fluid particles which interact through dipoles induced by an external electric field and experience negligiblethermal motion. For a system in d-dimensions, our theoretical calculations show thattlne average cluster size .s'.. increases with time t as 'av" t"""'. This result shows goodagreement with experiments in 3 dimensions, and with computer simulations in 2dimensions. It also shows good qualitative agreement xvith the dynamic scaling theoryof the cluster-cluster aggregation model.[electro-rheological fluid, aggregation kinetics, computer simulation, hierarchial lj model, chain formation, suspensionll
