Effective Viscosity of Magnetic Fluids

Effective viscosity of magnetic fluid is calculated numerically based on the diffusionequation for the spherical particles with permanent magnetic ntoment. The result iscompared with that of the classical constitutive equation proposed by Shliomis. It isfound that unlike Shliomis's equation, the viscosity remains monovalued as a func-lion of the shear rate.
