Ferroelectric domain patterms of guanidine aluminum sulfate hexahydrate (GASH)were examined by a pyroelectric probe technique, in which the laser beam scanningand data storing were controlled by a microcomputer. It was confirmed that theaveraged polarity and the magnitude of pyroelectric signal on the (0001) growthregion are equal to those of either (1010) or (0110) growth regions, which are con-nected by 3-fold inversion symmetry of the crystal. The stautdard deviation of thepyroelectric signal intensity spectrum in the (0001) region is larger than that in theother regions. The spatial fluctuation of the pyroelectric constant in the (0001) regionis larger than 25 ?m, which is consistent with the inhomogeneous distribution of thepolar region on the spiral patterns revealed by the powder deposition technique.[ferroelectrics, ferroelectric domain, pyroelectric probe technique, guanidine l[ aluminum sulfate hexahydrate, experimental stuudy[
