The magnetic phase diagram of the mixed system of Au(Cr) and Au(Fe), Au. .(Cr,Fe. ,)., has been determined by the measurements of the magnetic susceptibilityand of the Bragg reflection of' neutron scattering. At the nearly equiatomic compoundof Cr and Fe, y : 0.6, the spin glass state is stable up to the phase boundary of the fccternary alloy xzO.28, far beyond the percolation limit. The extension of the spinglass region may be determined due to the competition between the ferromagneticand the antiferromagnetic nearest-neighbor intera.ctions which are responsible for theformation of the ferromagnetic and the antiferr'omagnetic long-range order in theAu(Fe) and the Au(Cr) alloys, respectively.
