The model of one-dimensional gas is proposed for which the intermolecularforce consists of the hard-core repulsion, the short-range attraction or repulsionsiven bv a nearest-neiuhbour sctuare rotential and the infinitelv-Ionu-ranne at-traction given by the potential - 2a/L (a= positive constant, L=Iength of the gas).The equation or state ana the thermodynamic functions for this model (in theetmrt L +oo with length per molecule fixed) are exactty calculated from the parti-lion function. Generalization of the short-range force in this model is discussed.
